Morgan's Music
"Morgan's Music" is a unique gathering of talents. The versatility of this group to perform the crowd's favorites is amazing. Their ability to play 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, in Country, Rock, Swing, Big Band, R&B,Funk, Easy Listening, Jazz,etc, makes them one of the best variety bands in Dallas. They have a song list of over 400 tunes and adding new one all the time. Phil, Pete and Don are three very gifted musicians and the foundation of this group.

Upon request for larger events, extra musicians can be added for your function.

Don Morgan (right) is the keyboardest. His function in the band is to play keyboards, bass peddels, electronic drums, lead vocals, run lights, and front the band.
Don is a native of Dallas and has perfotmed professionally for 35 years. Starting his career at the early age of seven, he entertained and sing at home parties , church gatherings, and big family reunions. Church and teen parties is where he got his feet wet in the entertainment business. In High School [Irving High 1966-1970], he played sax in the school band and had his own rock-in-roll band as well. His band "Color Us Sleepy" played almost every school function for the four years he was at Irving High. At the age of 20, he traveled the East and West Coast with big horn bands playing woodwind instruments. At 22, he was hired to work with the "Carol Chaney Road Show" as a woodwind player. After a few months, Don moved back to Dallas to start his own career. Adding key boards to his playing abilities, he worked with such performers as Mary Shannon, Bill Locas, Roy Head, Your Mine and Ours, The McBride Brothers and the mosts successful of these The Harvest Band.

Phil Rodgers (left) plays' sax, percussion, and lead vocal for the band.Phil Rodgers began playing Sax in the forth grade. His first professional "gig" was at age 14 for a local wedding reception. Having fun and meeting people while making money was all it took for Phil to be hooked on the music business. Originally from Michigan, He landed here in Dallas 23 years ago after spending 3 years on the road playing venues in Las Vegas, L.A., Nashville, and Phoexix to name a few. He spent the next 15 years playing private functions in the region as a regular player in several local groups, before joining Morgan's Music 7 years ago. Phil is married to Bea and they have two beautiful daughters. Phil also owns and operates Kirkwood Studio in Dallas, a corporate/industrial recording studio. Some of his clients include Sprint, Beauticontrol, The Dallas Opera and those obnoxious Trophy Nissan radio ads among others.

Pete Williams (center) Plays guitar and vocals.
1960-1970 Toured USA, Canada & Mexico working with Rodney Lay & The Blazers [most recently known as The Wild West - back up band for Roy Clark], Willie and the Hand Jives as well as a year long tour with Vick Dana. Backed up such groups as Wanda Jackson, The Diamonds,Ernie Fields, Bill Dogget, Dee Dee Sharp, Jimmy Jones, Big Al Downing, Roy Buchannan,US Bonds and the Coasters. 1970-1980 Worked West Coast Circuit with The Tangiers and his own group "Fire and Brimstone". Opened shows for Link Ray, The Guess Who, Chuck Jackson, Maxine Brown, Hermans Hermits, Four Seasons, Lovin Spoonful, Fats Domino, and Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. 1980-1990 Came off the road in 1978 writing and recording Contemporary Christian music. Began playing the club scene again in 1982 working with with local bands in the Midwest, west coast area. Worked with Linnie Bowman and backed for Frank Senatra Jr. 1990-2000 Worked clubs on the Northeast circuit, Virginia, Maryland and DC, playing with his own trio the "Pete Williams Conspiracy". 2000-2003 Worked Dallas local night club circuit with groups such as The Big John Mayberry Band, Sammy Jay, Bette Lewis Band, and Bobbie Charles. House band at the Enclave, Ernie's Supper Club, Arthurs, Mona Luna's, Cappacino's, Farfallos, and most recently Swan Court.
